Concentrated Color Food

Red Canaries

I developed this color supplement for my own red canaries over several years of research and experimentation. My colored-canary aficionado friends and I wanted a food additive that was all-natural, easy to use, and not messy, but which would deeply intensify red plumage and emphesize those lovely optical blue tones which so many red canaries have. This is the formulation that I've settled on... the one that I feed my own canaries. See for yourself in this portrait I shot of Reuben*,one of my favorite bronze canaries!
Of course monitor colors vary, and there's no way I can anticipate just how yours will display my photos, but Reuben is a deep brick-red, thanks to his color-feeding. If you have a lighter red, or "red lipochrome" canary, I think you'll be pleased by how well the "optical blue" or pink tones are enhanced along with general deepening and intensifying of the red in the plumage.
This highly concentrated dry color supplement is supplied in 12 gram packets. No mixing with water is required; simply stir into any dry, no waste food such as pellets (not seed) which you feed your canary at the rate of 1 packet of supplement to about 2 cups dry food. If your canary is on a seed diet, the color supplement may be added to 2 cups of our All-Purpose Dry Canary Supplement and fed in addition to your canary's regular diet. This supplement can also be added to nestling food, but should not be fed to chicks less than 2 weeks old.
