OK, I'll admit it... these are restaurant style sugar packet holders. So why am I calling them bird feeders? Because they are absolutely the best free-standing feeders I've ever used for my canaries. Here's why:
- Unless you sit one right under a perch, it will almost certainly stay clean. I don't know what it is about this particular size and shape, but for some reason it doesn't seem to accumulate droppings.
That means that throughout the day seed, pellets, or other feed stays cleaner, and if you use the cup for an open waterer or bath, the water stays cleaner. And we all know how important that is to maintaining healthy birds!
- If you breed canaries, you'll appreciate that these cups fit perfectly through the doors of RB35 breeding cages.
- Length: 3 1/2"
Width: 2 5/8"
Height: 2 1/16"
- Cups are NSF approved - that means that the Health Department considers them safe for use in commercial restaurants and food service operations, i.e., non-toxic, bacteria-resistant, etc.
- Heavy construction - they won't tip over when a canary or other small bird pearches on an edge, and they won't fly around your dishwasher like many plastic cups - and yes, they're completely dishwasher safe.
- High sides help reduce feed waste.
Why not give these a try? You'll be glad you did, and if you've got more than one small bird, you'll probably be back for more.
